listen to the quiet cries

listen to what most do not hear

be aware, not shielded in a little igloo unaware of the outside world.

imagine being in an igloo, happy with your life.

you're so preoccupied with leading you own life,

that you do not notice a huge white bear come close.

the white bear is so close, you can feel its heat.

but then again, you are not aware,

because you do not expect it to be there.

so in your absence of mind,

your only child is eaten by the bear.

what then, is the point of living?

what is the point going through the motions of daily life.

what is the point?

being so preoccupied with oneself,

that everything is ME ME ME

everything is NOW NOW NOW.

you end up missing out the small details

you end up missing the very essence of living.
